Goalie transfers within the SKY Alps Hockey League

Goalie Patrick Machreich returns after 14 years to his home-club EK Zeller Eisbären, while Lukas Schluderbacher switches from the Polar Bears to EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau. FBI VEU Feldkirch extended the contract with Italian goalie Alex Caffi and their best scorer Dylan Stanley.

Machreich and Schluderbacher changed clubs
After 14 years at different Austrian clubs and one Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-title with EC VSV goalie Patrick Machreich returns for the 2017/18-season to his home-club EK Zeller Eisbären. Last season the goalie played 42 games for EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau in the SKY Alps Hockey League and had a save% of 92,4 and a GAA of 2.72. There the 36-years old Austrian is replaced by Lukas Schluderbacher, who switches from the Polar Bears to Lustenau. Last season the goalie made 17 games for the Polar Bears and had a save% of 88.8 and a GAA of 3.42. Besides the 23-years old Austrian also played for his home-club EC VSV in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.
 
VEU extended the contracts with two key-players
With the Italian goalie Alex Caffi and the Canadian Center Dylan Stanley two key-players stay at Feldkirch! Goalie Alex Caffi had a save% of 91,4 and a GAA of 3.66 from twelve SKY Alps Hockey League games 2016/17. 2014 the 26-years old Italian was already Inter National League Champion with HC Neumarkt RIWEGA. Besides the west-austrians extended the contract with their top-scorer Dylan Stanley. The Canadian forward scored for the VEU past season totally 60 points (19 goals and 41 Assists, Plus-Minus: +9) from 43 SKY Alps Hockey League-games, which meaned the second best value of all players.
