Sat, 03.11.2018: HK SZ Olimpija vs. VEU Feldkirch 1:4 (1:1,0:1,0:2)

Both teams - HK SZ Olimpija and VEU Feldkirch - searched their luck in the offense in period 1: Winzig has finally opened the scoring in minute 14. But, the Slovenes had a quick answer: Kranjc potted the 1:1 just 26 seconds later in a Power Play. The Austrians had a perfect start into period 2. Puschnik’s Power Play goal gave the guests  the lead again - 2:1. The Slovenes tried to answer, but goalie Alex Caffi stopped all 23 shots from the green dragons in period 2+3. On the other side, the West-Austrians added two goals from Jennes and Pfennich. Watch out: All four VEU-goals have been scored from Austrians today. Besides, HK SZ Olimpija has lost for for the first time this season at home.

EC-KAC and HC Fassa Falcons have faced each other on eye-level (31:28-shots). But, Martin Gran made the difference for the Italians in the game, scoring all three goals for the Falcons. The Norwegian opened the scoring in minute 8. The Austrians responded quickly with a goal from Tvrdon – 1:1 (10.). The "Red Jackets" had a perfect start into period 2 too: Rodiga netted the 2:1 in a Power Play after just 50 seconds. But, the hosts took some penaltys then and this was punished by the guests: Gran (29./pp2 and 31.) turned the game with two goals within just 99 seconds for a close 3:2-road-win.

The Rittner Buam have been on fire in Kitzbühel (46:23-shots). But, the Tyroleans scored first: Marthinsen gave the Eagles an early 1:0-lead (5.). On the other side, the South Tyroleans could not beat a strong goalie Ty Rimmer from several attemps in the first 30 minutes. The break-through has finally come in minute 30 and then, the Rittner Buam weren‘t to stop anymore, netted six goals from Fink, Frei, Tudin (3x) and Spinell within just twelve minutes.

2.051 fans have seen a goal festival between EC Bregenzerwald and EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau in Dornbirn on Saturday. The Lions from Lustenau were very effective and have earned a 4:0-lead after just 21:05 minutes thanks goals from Winzig (11.), Putnik (16.), Wilfan (19.) and Labrecque (22.). While, the „Wälder“ could beat EHC goalie Maris Jucers just once from 22 shots in the first 40 minutes, the Lions added another two goals for a 6:1-lead from 21 shots. But, the hosts showed character in period 3 too and were finally rewarded with two other goals from Fässler (51.) and Haidinger (56./pp).

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice was on fire in Zell am See (41:21-shots) and has earned a 12:2-win. The Slovenes were already ahead 7:1 in Pinzgau after 30 minutes. Philippe Paradis was not to stop from the Polar Bears, he has potted five goals! Gasper Glavic had a strong game as well, he potted three goals.

Strong start of Salzburg that scored after the first shot of Julian Klockl. Minutes by minutes, the Gherdeina recovered. The game became very pleasant, very fast, and with a playoff rhythm. The home team started to play the attack, but they didn’t realize the actions even in powerplay. In the second half Gherdeina equalized in powerplay: there was a shot from the blue and Gabriel Vinatzer deflected in the net. Just at the best time of the Gherdeina, the Salzburg took the advantage of a superiority as they scored with Jasper Kokkila. At the end of the second half, the Gherdeina played one of the best moments of the season but they didn’t realize. In the third time the Furies were always on the attack while the Salzburg accused a bit of exhaustion. After 52 minutes there was the new draw of Gherdeina with a nice combination finalized by Andreas Vinatzer. The game went to overtime which was full of emotions, but it was without a final net. On the penalties the Gherdeina won. Salzburg lost after five games.

Paolo Bustreo returned to play for Broncos while Tommy Kruselburger was available who had missed the Ljubljana trip. Sotlar, Esindle and Andreotti were absent. Sterzing started strong as they created two great chances for Just and Erlacher. But the first goal was from Cortina: Ayotte found himself alone and overcame Vallini. But the answer of the Broncos was immediate and in powerplay: Kofler scored a draw on personal action. Then on rebound Matthias Mantinger took the lead when we’re missing 53 seconds from the first whistle. In the second half the Cortina played much better. Federico Lacedelli with a slapshot realized in powerplay (2:2). Then the Cortina would have the opportunity to move forward but couldn’t find the goal. In the third time Hannes Oberdorfer gave the lead as the Broncos keeping the result until the final whistle.

Sat, 03.11.2018: HC Pustertal Wolves - Hockey Milano Rossoblu 6:3 (1:1,3:1,2.1)

In front of 1500 of the Lungo Rienza, the Pustertal got the 13th consecutive victory. Teemu Virtala, Corbett and Ivan Althuber were always absent in Bruneck. In Milan Radin was the only one absent. The Milan played on good levels and it couldn’t see the difference of 28 points that separate the two teams. The yellowblack couldn’t put on the ice the same power of their last games but they found the first goal with a nice combination with the two national Italian team like Markus Gander (assist) and Raphael Andergassen (goal). But the efforts of Milan were rewarded by the goal of Francis Verrault-Paul touching a shot from the blue by Francesco De Biasio. In the second half Bruneck woke up. The coach has mixed the lines. Andergassen collected a puck and they doubled. Then Max Oberrauch scored a goal of his: a wrist shot by medium distance. Lukas De Lorenzo Meo, 17 years old, achieved 4: 1. But Milan didn’t give up: when missing a second from the end of middle period, Riley Brace halved the distance. In the third time the redblue team believed it. Doucet reported Milan in the match and then the formation of coach Omicioli touched the tie several times. But the leaders remember to be a first team of AHL. Traversa's magic serving Markus Gander: the former Bolzano forward scored a providential 5:3. Then the last seal was from Tommaso Traversa. The run of Bruneck went on.
