Graz against Bolzano back on winning ways

The Moser Medical Graz99ers returned to winning ways after six consecutive defeats. Against the HCB Südtirol Alperia the Styrians won with 4:1. The EC-KAC celebrated the seventh shutout of the season at the 2:0 home win over league leader EC Red Bull Salzburg. An important victory celebrated the HC Orli Znojmo in the "Eagle duel" against the EC Panaceo VSV. For the third time this season, the spusu Vienna Capitals held the upper hand against the HC TWK Innsbruck 'Die Haie'. The EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz celebrated a close home victory over the Dornbirn Bulldogs and thus celebrated the fourth victory in a row and are new third in the league table.

Graz with first victory after six defeats
The Moser Medical Graz99ers could cheer for the first time since November 12th and six defeats in a row. Against the HCB Südtirol Alperia they prevailed with 4:1 and thus won the second home game this season against the South Tyroleans. The victory brings Graz closer to the top five again. The gap to the fifth-placed spusu Vienna Capitals is nine points. Bolzano slips back to the fourth place. 



KAC with narrow victory over Salzburg
The EC-KAC won against the EC Red Bull Salzburg for the second time within a week. In a brisk game, where no goals fell until the 56th minute, the KAC defeated the Bull with 2:0. For the seventh time this season, the Redjackets succeeded a shutout. With the win the KAC now has as many points as RBS but is still second due to the worse goal difference. For Salzburg, who had to do without the injured Raphael Herburger and Thomas Raffl, it was the first away defeat of the season.



Znojmo wins "Eagle duel"
The HC Orli Znojmo continued his high-altitude flight against the EC Panaceo VSV. The Czechs won with 3:0 and thus celebrated the fourth win in a row, the third time this season against Villach. After 51 goalles minutes Znojmo decided the game with strong ten minutes. In the league table Znojmo is still seventh with as many points as the VSV.



Capitals with clear victory over Innsbruck
The spusu Vienna Capitals also won the third season duel with the HC TWK Innsbruck 'Die Haie'. The Viennese were the superior team from the beginning. Overall, they scored twelve shots more in the first period which the won with 2:0. In the sequel VIC was still superior and finally won the game with 3:1. Vienna now is fifth in the table. The advantage over the sixth placed EC Panaceo VSV is four points. Innsbruck is still in tenth place.

Linz with last-minute victory over Dornbirn
In the game with the most goals of the evening, the EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz celebrated a close 5:4 home win over the Dornbirn Bulldogs. The decision fell only 84 second before the end of the game. With 42 points, Linz moves up to third in the table. The lead to sixth place is already six points. Dornbirn is still in last place with 14 points.
