Mike Zalewski joined the 99ers at the beginning of the past season from the Kölner Haie. In total, the 29-year-old US-American spent three seasons in the DEL – interrupted by a strong 19-20 campaign with the spusu Vienna Capitals. The forward scored twelve goals in the past season and was the fifth-best goal scorer for the Styrians. "I am happy to return to Graz because there is a lot of potential at the club. My wife and I really enjoyed our first year in Graz. The club, the people, the city, the fans and also the Merkur Eisstadion were a great experience and I believe we can achieve much more. I want to do my part this year to make us a strong playoff team and bring in wins. I'm looking forward to returning to Graz in August", said Zalewski.

With Michael Boivin, the 99ers have re-signed a defensive player to the club too. For the 31-year-old it is already the seventh full season in the win2day ICE Hockey League. He had his first stop at EC Red Bull Salzburg in 13-14. Overall, the defender showed up 320 league games (68G|130A). "Me and my whole family are looking forward to another season in Graz. One goal is to reach the playoffs and another is to offer the fans great hockey", said Boivin.
