Moser Medical Graz99ers – Olimpija Ljubljana
The top clash of Round 29 takes place in Graz. The 99ers claimed the league lead a week and a half ago with an overtime win in Klagenfurt — their sixth straight victory. Dan Lacroix’s team now meets the in-form Slovenians, who have won their last two games and currently sit in third place. Graz boasts the league’s best defense with only 56 goals conceded in 25 games, while Ljubljana leads the league offensively with 112 goals scored. Both previous meetings this season were tight and ended with away wins.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – EC-KAC
Klagenfurt shares the top of the standings with Graz, sitting second after 17 wins in 26 games. Before the break, the “Red Jackets” were in strong form, and the return of Nick Petersen should further boost their offense. Fehérvár, currently ninth, has shown improvement under new head coach Ted Dent — six wins in ten games and an impressive power play success rate of 25.8% back that up. KAC won the first two season meetings as well as five of their last six visits to Székesfehérvár.

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal – HC TIWAG Innsbruck
Both teams aim to get back on track after the December break. Pustertal lost their last three games and slipped to fourth place, while Innsbruck sits at the bottom after five consecutive defeats. With 25 points from twelve home games, the Wolves are among the league’s best home teams. Pustertal has won the last seven head-to-head matchups and both games this season in convincing fashion (8:1, 6:2). Innsbruck’s last win dates back to December 23, 2023 (6:4 away).

HCB Südtirol Alperia – Steinbach Black Wings Linz
After the international break — during which several HCB and HCP players represented Italy — Bolzano resumes play with a new head coach. Doug Shedden is expected to arrive in South Tyrol on Tuesday evening and will make his debut behind the bench on Wednesday. The “Foxes” currently rank fifth but have recently struggled with finishing their chances. Linz, after a slow start, has climbed back to tenth. New defenseman Yohann Auvitu replaces the injured Ryan MacKinnon. Bozen won both earlier meetings this season (3:2, 6:3).

EC Red Bull Salzburg – Pioneers Vorarlberg
Salzburg looks to build on their away win in Villach and stabilize defensively. The defending champions are favorites but will not take the visitors lightly: the Feldkirch-based team comes in with momentum after wins over Linz and Fehérvár. While Salzburg dominates most statistical categories, the Pioneers have recently impressed with their efficiency. Each of the two previous season matchups was decided by the home team.

Vienna Capitals – FTC-Telekom
The Vienna Capitals play their last home game before Christmas on Wednesday. The Capitals currently sit eleventh with 28 points from 25 games. They recently won three straight home games before falling 2:4 to Salzburg despite leading 2:0. New signing Scott Kosmachuk will make his debut. FTC-Telekom sit in eighth place after a 1:3 loss to Bolzano, but had prior wins against Pustertal and Salzburg. Each of the previous season meetings was won by the home side.
