Graz inks Hunter Fejes | Further roster updates

With former Linz player Hunter Fejes and Parker MacKay the Moser Medical Graz99ers finished roster activities for now. The Black Wings took back Sébastien Piché and strengthened the defensive squad with Finn Niklas Tikkinen, while the spusu Vienna Capitals presented Jérôme Leduc as their latest new arrival and the EC VSV took another former Augsburger Panther player. On Tuesday, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 plays its first preseason game, taking on Gyergyói HK (18.30).

Graz tabs former Linz player Hunter Fejes and brings in Parker MacKay
The Moser Medical Graz99ers strengthen their roster with Hunter Fejes, one of the top scorers of the Black Wings Linz past season. The 26-year-old US-American scored 15 goals and 9 assists in 27 games for the Upper Austrians. Prior that, he gained experience in AHL and ECHL. Further, the 99ers signed forward Parker MacKay. The 26-year-old Canadian spent the last few years mainly in the NCAA and played for the University of Minnesota-Duluth. MacKay scored a total of 37 goals and 33 assists in 136 games. The winger, who also led his team as captain for a season, won the title twice in four years. For now, Graz has finished with roster activities for the upcoming season.



Sébastien Piché returns to Linz | Black Wings add another defense man

The Black Wings Linz announced the return of Sébastien Piché. The 32-year-old Canadian, who secured the title with HCB Südtirol Alperia in the 2013-14 season, has already played for the Upper Austrians for four seasons. Most recently, the defender was part of league’s newcomer iClinic Bratislava Capitals. In four seasons with the Black Wings, the Canadian scored 51 goals and 141 assists in 232 games. 

Moreover, the Black Wings hired with Niklas Tikkinen another defender. After two years with the Herlev Eagles (DEN), the 26-year-old will return to Austria, as the Finn played for VEU Feldkirch in the Alps Hockey League in the season 2017-18.

Jérôme Leduc heads to Vienna
Jérôme Leduc is the fourth import in the current roster of the spusu Vienna Capitals for the upcoming ICE season. In the past season he played in the Swedish Allsvenskan, for Västerås IK he scored six goals and scored 34 assists - making him the best defender on points at the second highest level in Sweden. Prior that, the 28-year-old had been on the ice for two seasons with the Dornbirn Bulldogs.

Villach takes another former Augsburg player
The EC VSV has signed another player of the Augsburg Panthers. Scott Kosmachuk follows his team-mate Sahir Gill to Carinthia. In the past season the Canadian scored 25 points in 32 DEL games.
