Big pickup for the 99ers: Paul Stapelfeldt is headed to Graz on a two-year deal. The 6’5’’ defenseman has been a key piece for Red Bull Salzburg’s dominant run, winning four consecutive titles and making his mark with Team Austria at the World Championships. Known for his size, poise, and physical presence, Stapelfeldt is expected to anchor the Graz blue line moving forward. “One of the best shutdown D-men in the league,” says GM Philipp Pinter. “A proven winner and a great guy in the room.”

Pasquale & Rabanser form HCP’s new goalie duo
Eddie Pasquale is staying in Bruneck. The 34-year-old Canadian returns to the Wolves crease after a standout season, where he quickly became a fan favorite and key figure between the pipes. With stints in the NHL, KHL, and at the Olympics, Pasquale brings elite-level experience and consistency. Backing him up will be Jakob Rabanser, who re-joins the squad after rehabbing a long-term injury. The 24-year-old homegrown netminder is set to take the next step in his career. Andreas Bernard will not return to the team.
