With three goals within 137 seconds at the end of the middle period, the Moser Medical Graz99ers celebrated a clear 4:1 home victory over the spusu Vienna Capitals. In parallel, bet-at-home ICE Hockey League leaders HCB Südtirol Alperia prevailed 3:2 at EC Red Bull Salzburg after overtime. Anthony Bardaro scored the game-winner 73 seconds into the extra session.

Strong middle frame gets Graz on track
The Moser Medical Graz99ers won their second home game in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League against the spusu Vienna Capitals too. In the end, the seventh-placed team won 4:1 against the fourth-placed team, which thus suffered its third defeat in the last five games. Graz won for the second time in a row. After a scoreless opening frame, the Styrians, who took only one penalty in the entire game, provided the preliminary decision in the middle period - and with three goals within 137 seconds: first Joel Broda (34.), who had previously gone eleven games without scoring, sank his own rebound, then Lukas Kainz (35.) and Anthony Cameranesi (37.) followed suit. A powerplay goal by Olof Mylläri (47.) finally decided the game, Ty Loney (27.) provided the visitors' consolation goal with his 19th goal of the season.


Bolzano wins after overtime
Leader HCB Südtirol Alperia won 3:2 after overtime at EC Red Bull Salzburg. For Bolzano it was the third win in the fourth duel of the season against the fifth-placed team, which has to play again on Wednesday against the Dornbirn Bulldogs and suffered its fourth defeat in a row, but took a point for the second time. In a very physical game, the home team failed to take the lead in the first period, with Leland Irving showing his class with 12 saves. In the further course of the game, the guests took the lead twice through Angelo Miceli (28.) and Ivan Deluca (43.). Salzburg always equalized through Lukas Schreier (32.), who scored his first professional goal, and Florian Baltram (52.). The decision in overtime was made - after only 73 seconds - by Anthony Bardaro (62.), who became the matchwinner as he had been in the 3:2 SO win in Villach on Friday, when he scored the decisive penalty.
