HCB Südtirol Alperia vs. EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
On Sunday afternoon, the Sparkasse Arena hosts the fourth and final Regular Season meeting between HCB Südtirol Alperia and EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV. Face-off is set for 4:00 p.m.

The South Tyroleans enter the matchup as the team in fourth place in the standings and therefore in a strong position. While Bolzano have suffered two recent losses against top teams, they had previously put together a five-game winning streak. VSV, on the other hand, travel to Bolzano determined to pick up important points in the battle for the Pre-Playoff spots. After 34 games played, the Eagles sit in 11th place, two points behind the top ten. Villach have recorded just two wins in their last 14 games.

Two of the three previous meetings this season went to VSV, including a 6–3 road win in Bolzano and a 4–1 victory in Villach. The most recent encounter, however, was won by the South Tyroleans, who prevailed 4–1 on the road.

While Bolzano have stood out this season with solid special teams, Villach will be aiming to finally get back on the scoresheet after a series of strong performances that have nonetheless produced narrow results.

Olimpija Ljubljana vs. Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Following their overtime win in Vienna, the Steinbach Black Wings face another road challenge. The Linz side travel directly from Vienna to Ljubljana. The Upper Austrians recently managed to score the opening goal of a road game for the first time since November. Although the Capitals forced overtime, Graham Knott secured the decisive two points for Linz in the extra session. There is little time to recover, with the away game in Slovenia representing another immediate tough test.

Ljubljana currently sit fifth in the standings with 62 points and have shown inconsistent form this season, marked by recurring ups and downs. In the previous head-to-head meetings with Linz this season, the home team has always come out on top. Since their last encounter at the end of November, the Slovenians have recorded eight wins from 16 games, but have recently suffered several losses, including a clear 1–5 road defeat against Salzburg.

Especially on home ice, the Green Dragons are difficult to beat, having lost there just six times so far. Their special teams are also among their strengths: they lead the league in powerplay efficiency at 26.56 percent and rank among the top teams in penalty killing with a success rate of 82.26 percent.

Moser Medical Graz99ers vs. Vienna Capitals
Sunday also features another top matchup in the win2day ICE Hockey League, as the Moser Medical Graz99ers host the Vienna Capitals at Merkur Ice Stadium. Face-off is at 5:30 p.m. The game will be shown live on ORF Sport+, with additional livestreams available on ORF ON and sporteurope.tv.

Graz head into the game with confidence. On Friday, the Styrians edged HCB Südtirol Alperia 3–2 in overtime, strengthening their hold on second place in the standings. Seven wins from their last ten games, along with a five-game home winning streak, underline the 99ers’ strong form. However, the personnel situation remains tense, with several players nursing injuries after the most recent game and final lineup decisions to be made on game day.

The Vienna Capitals begin a stretch of three road games within one week. Following a 2–3 overtime loss to Linz, the Capitals currently sit ninth in the standings, a position that qualifies for the Pre-Playoffs. Despite numerous absences, Vienna have remained competitive, erasing a two-goal deficit against Linz before eventually falling in overtime.

HC Falkensteiner Pustertal vs. EC Red Bull Salzburg
On Sunday evening, EC Red Bull Salzburg open the final quarter of the Regular Season with a road game against HC Falkensteiner Pustertal. Face-off in Brunico is at 6:00 p.m.

Salzburg arrive in South Tyrol riding an impressive winning streak. With a 5–1 home victory over Ljubljana, the Red Bulls claimed their 12th consecutive win and could set a new club record with another success. However, Salzburg have lost both previous meetings with Pustertal this season and remain winless in Brunico so far.

HC Pustertal are currently going through a challenging stretch, having dropped their last four games. Their most recent defeat came on Monday, a 2–3 loss in Klagenfurt. Despite the setback, the South Tyroleans sit sixth in the standings and are battling to hold on to that direct Playoff spot. Their lead over pursuers Székesfehérvár stands at six points.

After 36 games played, Salzburg are third in the standings, just three points behind second-placed Graz99ers. In addition to boasting the league’s strongest defense, the Red Bulls have also significantly increased their offensive output in recent games and now rank among the league’s most dangerous scoring teams with 120 goals. Pustertal also possess offensive quality, having scored 118 goals so far — with two games in hand.
