Graz99ers sign Krastenbergs and part ways with two players

The Moser Medical Graz99ers announced the signing of Latvian international Renars Krastenbergs. It is the 24-year-old's second stint in the win2day ICE Hockey League. From January 2021 until the end of the 2021/22 season, the forward played for the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV (49 points). The 99ers also extended the contract with defenseman Blaz Gregorc until the end of the season. However, forward Chris Dodero, whose try-out contract was not extended, and defenseman Ludvig Jardeskog are no longer in the Styrian´s squad.

The 24-year-old Renars Krastenbergs has already been on the ice for the HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland this season, scoring six goals and six assists in eleven games. Previously, the Latvian international played for Södertälje (27 games) and AIK (26 games) in Sweden. Renars Krastenbergs has also already impressed in the wind2day ICE Hockey League. From January 2021 until the end of the 2021/22 season, the forward played for the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV. In a total of 56 games for the Eagles, Krastenbergs scored 49 points (23G | 26A).

The 99ers have also extended the expiring contract with defenseman Blaz Gregorc until the end of the season. The 190cm tall and 94kg defender has one goal and three assists after twelve games.

Graz part ways with Dodero and Jardeskog
Chris Dodero and Ludvig Jardeskog are no longer part of the Styrian squad with immediate effect. Forward Dodero had a try-out contract, which was not extended. The 27-year-old was on the ice a total of eight times for the 99ers, scoring one assist. The 28-year-old defenseman Jardeskog, who moved to Graz from the Swedish Allsvenskan this summer, scored three assists.
