HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice was the chief on the ice against HC Pustertal Wolves in semifinals #4 in period 1. The „Red Steelers“ fired shot after shot, but goalie Colin Furlong allowed no goal. The Italians set a few dangerous attacks, but couldn‘t beat goalie Matt Climie too. The Italians showed a different face after the re-start. The guests searched their luck in the offense now as well and were quickly rewarded for their offensive effort with the 1:0 by Virtala in minute 27. The Slovenes were dangerous too and managed to respond with a goal by Glavic (35.). But, the Italians stayed unimpressed and continued fireing shots on their opponents net. The success has quickly arrived: Andergassen potted the 2:1 just 143 seconds later (38.). In period 3, the Slovenes went for the 2:2, while the Italians tried to decided the game. Bruneck took a penalty and was punished: Basic netted the 2:2 in the Power Play in minute 57.
