The KSV Highlanders' 4:1 victory was the Styrians' second win of the season over the Lakers Kärnten. On Sunday, October 13, they narrowly prevailed 4:3 in Klagenfurt. Overall, it was their third win in the win2day Austrian Women's Hockey League in the fourth game, which puts the Highlanders at the top of the table, followed by the Lakers Kärnten, who suffered their second defeat in the fourth game on Sunday. This time, however, the encounter was not as evenly matched as last time. EWHL: Victories for Silesia and MAC
In the European Women's Hockey League, Tauron Metropolia Silesia managed to get revenge against the Sabres St. Pölten. It was the Poles' first win in their eighth game, while the Sabres suffered their first defeat in regulation in their seventh game. The Lower Austrians are in fourth place in the table. In Sunday's game Silesia took the lead thirteen seconds before the end of the first period. After 40 minutes it was 3:2 for the Polish team. In the final period, St. Pölten equalized early through Kinga Jokai-Szilagyi. It was the forward's second goal of the game. The score remained 3:3 until 59 seconds before the end of the game, before Joanna Strzelecka finally decided the game in Silesia's favor. The defender had already scored to give Silesia a 3:1 lead.

MAC Budapest also celebrated a 5:2 away win at the DEC Salzburg Eagles. As a result, the Salzburg team remain without a win in their sixth game of the season. MAC, on the other hand, picked up their fifth win in seven games and are in fifth place in the table. Although the Hungarians conceded an early goal against the Eagles, they were able to turn the game around in the first period with two goals from Tamara Gondos. The visitors even pulled 4:2 ahead in the second period, with MAC finally scoring the final goal three and a half minutes before the end of the game.
