The Rittner Buam SkyAlps were beaten 4:7 by the league newcomers Hockey Unterland Cavaliers in a high-scoring game on Thursday. The Italians have suffered three defeats away from home so far, with their only win coming on the first matchday in Lustenau. In the six AHL duels in Jesenice so far, the home side have always been the winners.

In the eleventh round, the Pinzgauers, who will once again be without Fabio Artner, will face the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers for the first time. The team from Neumarkt ended a three-game losing streak yesterday against Ritten. The South Tyroleans are one place ahead of Zell am See in fourth place in the table.

The heavily depleted Salzburg team was only beaten in the shootout in the derby against Zell am See on Thursday. The Juniors are still in second place in the table. In January 2022, the Salzbruger celebrated their first win in Sterzing, before that they had to admit defeat nine times.

After seven wins in a row Cortina had to admit defeat twice. Against Ritten and Fassa the league leader got one point each, but lost in the shootout and overtime respectively. Cortina has been convincing so far with quality in all lines: eleven players have scored more than four points. Bregenzerwald lost at home to Meran on Wednesday after overtime, but won two games before that. Last season, the Vorarlberg team and Cortina met on equal terms. While the game at the Messestadion went to the visitors after overtime, the Juurikkala side took revenge away from home with a win after penalty shootout. The result both times was 3:2 for the winner.
