Home teams take the points on Tuesday night

On Tuesday the four home teams kept the points with five different players scoring in HC Bolzano's first season win against spusu Vienna Capitals. While the leading duo of Qualification Round EC Panaceo VSV and Liwest Black Wings Linz found back to winning ways, HC TWK Innsbruck earned the second successive victory.

In the only Pick Round game of the night Patrick Wiercioch, who won the Spengler Cup several weeks ago with team Canada, opened the scoring for Bolzano. After Kyle Baun's second-period equalizer, the home side rallied in the third period to beat spusu Vienna Capitals 5:2 - five different players scored for Bolzano in their first season win against Vienna.



In Qualification Round EC Panaceo VSV won the debut of head coach Rob Daum, beating Fehervar 5:1. Schmidt and Pöyhonen gave Villach a two-goal lead after the first period. Despite the Hungarians making it a one-goal game twice, the hosts earned their first win in Intermediate Round to stay at top. Second-placed Liwest Black Wings Linz also got three points after having a first season win against Orli Znojmo. Andreas Kristler, who scored in his 600th league game, and Znojmo's new arrival Brandon Burlon made it 1:1 after the first. In the middle frame Rick Schofield found the back of the net for the game winner. The Czech side could not force overtime anymore as their goalie Lassila got a game misconduct late in the game. In addition, HC TWK Innsbruck cruised to a second win in a row, beating Dornbirn in the derby, 6:3 - in total five power play goals were scored. The hosts made a preliminary decision in the first when leading 4:1. After opening Qualification Round with two wins, Dornbirn suffered a first defeat.
