With new signings Anton Mylläri and Matias Sointu in the line-up, Graz started ambitiously against the bottom team. On the visitors' side, goalkeeper Luka Gracnar prevented an early deficit, and with the first real chance the visitors even took the lead through Will Pelletier (8th). But the hosts did not have to wait long for their answer, Oliver Setzinger pushed the puck over the line at the second attempt. In the middle period, the home side continued to set the tone, but it took until the next goal. In the 39th minute, Setzinger proved to have a great overview and Anthony Cameranesi, who had been set up, made it 2:1. After the Black Wings were not able to create a pressing phase in the final period, Joel Broda ensured the final decision with an empty netter. The 99ers ended their eight-game losing streak with the 3:1 home win and climbed to fifth place with their second win of the season over the bottom team Linz.

Fehérvár wins high-scoring game against KAC
In Székesfehérvár it came to a direct duel for third place. The guests from Klagenfurt had the better start. Already after four minutes Nick Petersen put the visitors in the lead with a well-placed shot into the far corner. In the first powerplay of the game, Thomas Koch made it 0:2 a little later. The answer of the Hungarians followed promptly in the form of a brace: Istvan Bartalis and Akos Mihaly levelled the score again within 51 seconds. The middle period was only 30 seconds old when Janos Hari even gave the home side the lead for the first time. But this lead did not last long either, as Manuel Ganahl scored to make it 3:3. The KAC also made use of their second powerplay and took the lead again with Ganahl's second goal in the 33rd minute. However, Bence Szabo's equaliser suited to the course of the game. As the third period and the overtime remained goalless, the shootout had to decide. Alex Petan was the only shooter to convert. The third-placed Hungarians thus beat the Klagenfurt team for the first time in the third duel of the season and celebrated their fourth victory in a row.
