Tuesday’s schedule in the Austrian Women’s Hockey League featured two derby clashes. The VSV Lady Hawks celebrated a second win over the Lakers Kärnten, taking a 5–3 victory on the road behind a pair of goals each from Liga Miljone and Julija Blazinsek. The Graz99ers Huskies were also all smiles after edging the KSV Highlanders 4–3 in overtime in the Styrian derby — their first AWHL win of the season.

About a month after the first Carinthian derby in the win2day AWHL, which Villach had won 4–2 on home ice, the Lady Hawks again started stronger. They led 3–0 after the opening period. The Lakers fought back in the middle frame through goals from Kelsey Soccio and Valentina Ropatsch to close the gap to 2–3. However, two power-play tallies from Miljone and Blazinsek in the final period — both completing two-goal nights — sealed the deal. With this 5–3 victory, the Lady Hawks took an important step toward the Final Four.

The Styrian derby turned into a thrilling back-and-forth battle. Graz struck first through Simona Grascher before Andrea Kantorova equalized just before the first intermission. In both the second and third periods, the hosts regained the lead, only for the Highlanders to respond each time. In overtime, the Huskies capitalized on a late power play after a visiting penalty — and just 77 seconds in, Tamara Grascher scored the decisive 4–3 goal. It marked Graz’s first win of the AWHL season, while the Highlanders, despite suffering their first loss, returned to the top of the standings thanks to their single point.
