The EC Graz Huskies beat the Salzburg Eagles, who were making their AWHL debut, 3:1 in the win2day Austrian Women's Hockey League. In the European Women's Hockey League, the Sabres St. Pölten managed an 8:4 victory over MAC Budapest.

The EC Graz Huskies celebrated their first win in the win2day AWHL. After their opening loss against the Lakers Kärnten, the Styrians prevailed 3-1 against the Salzburg Eagles, who were playing their first game in the AWHL. The Huskies built up a 2:0 lead within the first eight minutes before the Eagles managed to score the equalizer in the middle third. However, the team from Graz made it 3:1 in the same period and thus the final score.

At the same time, the Sabres St. Pölten returned to winning ways in the EWHL after their bitter OT defeat. The Sabres celebrated an 8-4 win against the previously unbeaten Hungarians of MAC Budapest. Emma McKnight scored a four-pack.
