After gaining a point against France in the opener, Austria suffered a clear 0-5 defeat against Sweden. Roger Bader's team showed a strong performance especially in the first 30 minutes - also compared to the one from the opener against France - although they had to chase a deficit early on. As the game progressed, Sweden showed its individual advantages and left Team Austria no chance in the end. On Tuesday, Austria will face Denmark at 3:20 pm, which is still undefeated at this World Championship.

Slovenia scores twice against Canada
The Slovenian selection put in a respectable performance against group favorite Canada, but still lost 2-5 in the end. Both goals of the Slovenians, whoich won the first period, were scored by KHL player Jan Drozg. With three goals in the middle period Canada turned the game around and got its second win at this World Championship. Slovenia, which remains winless, will play Norway on Tuesday (3:20 pm).

Hungary without a chance after early lead too
The Hungarian team also lost its second group match. Former win2day ICE Hockey League player Istvan Sofron (AVS, KAC, VSV) put his country ahead in the 5th minute. The USA turned the game around in the first period and added five more goals in the remaining two periods to win 7-1. Waiting for Hungary on Tuesday (7:20 pm) is the French selection.
