For the 29-year-old Brady Shaw, a native of Ottawa, Canada, it will be the third season in Europe. At the beginning of his career, the forward, who also holds the US citizenship, was mainly active in the North American leagues (AHL & ECHL). In Europe, Shaw finally made his breakthrough. In 2020, he recorded 82 points in 60 games with Esbjerg in Denmark. Thus, he was the best-scoring player in the entire league. A season later, he played a major role in Fehérvár's run to the final of the win2day ICE Hockey League.

"Already when I played with Fehérvár in Innsbruck last season I knew that I really wanted to play here. I'm really looking forward to the city, the team, the proud fans, and I want to help the team win games," said Brady Shaw.

"Brady is a highly talented guy with a balanced, well-rounded game. He found his game in the second half of last season in the league and played a big part in Fehérvár's success. He is always there when big, important games come. He knows the league now, and will become an important factor for us to be successful," said HCI head coach Mitch O'Keefe.
