The HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie shone in the second leg of the round of 16 against the Finnish top team Lukko Rauma too. But first the Austrians fell behind after just 69 seconds, Ponthus Westerholm (2.) deflection puts the home side up. As the game progressed, Innsbruck goalie Evan Buitenhuis once again outdid himself, keeping his team in the game with a total of 45 saves. Coupled with strong defensive play, Lukko Rauma was prevented from adding another goal and in the end the "Haie" rewarded themselves with a goal: Nicholas Albano scored on PP (57'). The puck was deflected and then bounced off the bar into the goal. The seventh-placed team in the win2day ICE Hockey League failed to capitalize on a subsequent PP occasion.
