Hungarian Nationalteam forward Istvan Sofron returns from Villach to Fehervar AV19. Plus: Transfer news from Bozen, Dornbirn, Graz, Vienna and Villach.

Istvan Sofron returns after one year to Fehérvár AV19. The 30-year old power-forward has already played seven seasons (2007 until 2013, 2016/17) for the Devils in the Erste Bank Eishockey League. 2017/18, Sofron started a new chapter in his life and played his first games overseas for Wichita Thunder in the ECHL, scoring 12 points out of 25 games. Then, the Hungarian switched to EC Panaceo VSV netting another eight points out of 16 matches. Sofron is known as a reliable scorer, he has played 389 EBEL-games for Fehervar AV19, Villach and EC-KAC so far and has scored 231 points (115G/116A) in total. Besides, Sofron is a key-player in the Hungarian National team. Sofron has experience from playing in the DEL as well. He scored 55 points out of 129 matches for the Krefeld Pinguine between 2013 and 2016.
 
EC Panaceo VSV has announced Canadian Corey Trivino as their last signing for the upcoming season. The 28-year old Center played in the Erste Bank Eishockey League-finals with HC orli Znojmo 2016. Trivino was one of the key-players, he had 37 points out of 44 games. The last two seasons, Trivino spent in Russia. Besides, Villach has signed defender Kevin Raine on a four-week tryout basis. In North America, the 25 year old Canadian has won championship titles in the OHL and AHL. Last season, Raine came to Europe for the first time, playing for the Belfast Giants in the EIHL.
 
Italian Victor Schweitzer will continue to play for Champion HCB Südtirol Alperia in the upcoming season as well. The 26-year old forward went from Bruneck to Bozen one year ago. Schweitzer had two points (1G/1A) out of 70 Erste Bank Eishockey League-games in the Championship winning season 2017/18. Defenseman Mat Clark (CAN) went from Bozen to the Vienna Capitals.
 
The Dornbirn Bulldogs announced the signing of center Rod Bordson. The 30 year old US-American transfers from Düsseldorfer EG, where he gained 16 points out of 31 DEL/games last season. Before coming to Europe two years ago, he hit the ice in the American Hockey League 380 times.
 
The Moser Medical Graz99ers strengthen their offense with Curtis Hamilton. The 26 year old winger was a 2nd-round draft pick by the Edmonton Oilers and played one NHL game. After coming to Europe in 2015, he played in Czechs Extraliga and in Finish SM-Liiga. Last season Hamilton won the Spengler Cup with Team Canada.
