The last two seasons Jamie Fraser was the captain of EC GRAND Immo VSV. With the start of the 2021/22 season, the experienced defender will return to Villach for a fourth campaign. For the 35-year-old, it will already be the eleventh season in the multinational league. Before his engagement he played in Ljubljana and Vienna. He celebrated his first and lone title with the Capitals in 2017. Fraser played 581 games in the past, scoring 92 goals and distributing 282 assists.

"Villach is my second home. The current roster looks very strong. I want to use my last chance to achieve something big with VSV," Fraser said of his comeback.

"This is a real sensation. The leader and captain of the team is back. Jamie Fraser is an incredible player who never takes it easy on himself and always puts the team's success first. At 35 years old, he is still one of the top 3 defender in the league and in top shape. He is not only an outstanding skater with a very good shot, but also a great guy as a person. We are very happy to have him now after all continue in the team," emphasizes EC GRAND Immo VSV sports director Gerald Rauchenwald.
