Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 is waiting for his opponent in the finals. Which team will follow the „Yellow Reds“ to the Alps Hockey League finals 2018?  Champion Rittner Buam (2) and HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice (3) are still in the fight for the 2nd final ticket. The Italians are leading in the best-of-five-semifinal-series 2:1. This means, the Rittner Buam would qualify for the finals with a road-win in Jesenice on Wednesday and would meet there Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 same as last season. HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice tries to extend their season: The „Red Steelers“ need two consecutive wins to step up to the finals. HC Pustertal Wolves have shown in this Quarterfinals, that it's possible to step up to the next round beeing back in a series 1:2: The team from Bruneck has won three straight Playoff-games against FBI VEU Feldkirch in the first Playoff round and stepped up to the semifinals. The Slovenes need „just“ two straight victories and their first season-home-win against the Rittner Buam. The Italians have won each game 2017/18 in Jesenice (3:2/OT, 4:0). For that and other reasons, the Champion will travel with much confidence to the Slovenian Steel City on Wednesday: The Italians have been successful always in a game 4 and have won each Playoff-series. Besides Patrick Killeen and Co. have been convincing defensively lately: Ritten allowed only one goal in the last two semifinals. Killeen stopped 68 shots, while Jesenice‘ goalie Clarke Saunders allowed eight goals from the same number of shots on goal. Besides, the Italians are still unbeaten on the road in this Playoffs and have conceeded only one goal in 180 minutes.
