HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 6:4
On the back of a victory Asiago was the better team in the opening minutes with Jesenice goalie Rok Stojanovic standing tall early. While the netminder made some good saves, Jesenice scored on the first good situation. Asiago was not able to get the puck out of their zone and Jure Sotlar's shot found its way into the goal after nine minutes. Soon later the hosts failed to score on a 3 on 1 situation but they did well, generating a lot of traffic in front of Frederic Cloutier for most parts. The Italians became stronger late in the first again but went to the locker with a tight deficit. Just a few seconds after the restart Asiago fired the first shot goalwards and a couple moments later Krys Kolanos even tied the game. Jesenice was out of luck when Jaka Ankerst only hit the post and at the other end the visitors turned the game around. After a won faceoff, Giulio Scandella lit the lamp. The Slovenes were not impressed and worked hard for the equalizer. Cloutier had some big saves but he was helpless against a rebound by Marjan Manfreda after 28 minutes. The hosts retook the lead on their first pp when Jure Sotlar scored on a wraparound for a 3:2 score after 40 minutes. Once again the guests scored early in the third with Anthony Nigro finding the back of the net. Jesenice had the better of the play now but Scandella put his side 4:3 up with six minutes to go. The home team showed great character, though. They pressed hard and Sotlar tied it at four in the 57th minute. Just 17 seconds later Ankerst turned it again and Luka Kalan's emty net goal made the game safe for Jesenice.

Sportivi Ghiaccio Cortina Hafro – Rittner Buam 2:5
The Cortina was again without Nicola Fontanive and Ronny De Zanna. The Rittner Buam started very well because Cortina wasn’t ready to play during the first minutes of the period. After just 40 seconds of the first period Oscar Ahlstrom scored the first goal of the match. Cortina was very surprised by this action. The first few minutes were all in favor of the guests nearly near to double the score. Then minute after minute the host managed to limit the disadvantage and after 13 minutes the home team found the tie. Tanner Burton, in powerplay situation, made a big shot. The puck bounced back after hitting the board behind the net of Patrik Killen. Zachary Torquato scored alone in front of the slot. After this goal the game was more balanced and the first time finished in tie (1:1). Another false start for Cortina during the second period. Christian Borgatello & co insisted right from the start and then found the goal after two minutes: Cortina repeatedly hesitated in the same action as Alex Frei scored again. The team of Koblstein understood that the Cortina was not the same team of Saturday. Renon made the third goal on 4 vs. 4, exactly 102 seconds after the last goal: Tommaso Traversa overcome Marco De Filippo. The Italian champions insisted. Simon Kostner hit the post and before the middle it was another goal of Alex Frei. Coach Omicioli called timeout to resume his team in serious trouble. The Cortina somehow recovered in defense as they returned to play in attack zone. After the middle, in powerplay situation, Edoardo Caletti halved the score after a perfect assist of Riley Brace. The home tried to recover the score but before a new powerplay for Cortina the visitor’s coach, Riku-Petteri Lehtonen called the timeout. The Ritten rejected the assault of Cortina as they kept the double advantage until the end of the second period.
The Cortina started in shorthanded situation the third period but they resisted well. Then there was an episode doubt: a shot of Roland Hofer hit the crossbar. Goal, not goal…. The referees didn’t validate the goal after watching instant replay. The home side put a lot of pressure to reopen the match but they didn’t succeed. Minute after minute the offensive thrust of the home team ended. The Rittner Buam made the fifth goal with a good play of Oscar Ahlströhm. The Ritten won this math 5:2 as they tied the series of semifinal against Cortina. The Rittner Buam found the eight victory in a row in the Olimpic stadium of Cortina.
