The Hockey Unterland Cavaliers ended a four-game losing streak on Thursday in Jesenice. They are in eighth place in the standings with 18 points. Opponent Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan won against Fassa with 3:2 and remain in a strong third place in the standings. Both teams faced each other earlier this season on October 5. Unterland probably doesn't have good memories of that game, as the team from Neumarkt lost clearly 0:8 in Sterzing. After a goalless starting period, the Broncos scored five times in the middle period. It was the first win for Sterzing over Unterland in the Alps Hockey League.

However, Celje is still waiting for its first point in the Alps Hockey League away from home. The Future Team won three of its seven home games and thus, just like the HKC, won all points in front of their home crowd. With only 26 goals scored, Celje has the weakest offense in the league. However, the Future Team only scored one more goal.

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors were narrowly defeated in the Salzburg derby by Zell am See with 3:4/OT on Thursday, conceding their first defeat after previously winning four games in a row. However, their point streak is already seven games. In the table, the Juniors are in ninth place with 16 points. The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it is still bottom of the table with nine points. The South Tyroleans lost 3:5 at home to Lustenau on Thursday, while the Furie also suffered a 3:5 defeat at home in their first duel of the season with the Young Bulls.
