Jesenice regains the series lead

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice won game three of the final series against S.G. Cortina Hafro 5:2 to take a 2:1 lead in the "best-of-7" series. Man oft he match was Zan Jezovsek with a hat trick. For the 25-year-old it was already the fourth game in a row in which he scored. Game four of the final series will take place on Saturday at 20:30 in Cortina.

Also in the third final game, S.G. Cortina Hafro got the better start and took the lead after Tommaso Traversa scored for the first time in the finals in the eighth minute. However, as in the previous two finals, HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice again had the right answer and equalized in the 18th minute through Zan Jezovsek to make it 1:1. For the 25-year-old it was already the fourth game in a row in which the national team player from Slovenia scored. However, it was not the only goal of the evening for the forward. In minute 36 Jezovsek equalized again, this time to make it 2:2. The intermediate 2:1 lead was scored by Michael Zannata in the 34th minute. With 2:2, the game finally went into the final period.

In this nothing happened until eight minutes before the end of the period, when David Planko gave the home side the lead. Three minutes before the end of the game, Rudolfs Polcs even increased the lead to 4:2 and thus ensured the preliminary decision. The final decision was made by Zan Jezovsek, who made his second hat trick of the season 42 seconds before the end of the game perfect. Game four of the final series will take place on Saturday at 20:30 in Cortina.
