2.600 spectators witnessed a top match between EK Zeller Eisbären and HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice in the sold-out KE KELIT Arena. After a goalless first period, the Slovenians took the lead through Santeri Sillanpää, but the home side equalised just 26 seconds later through Hubert Berger. In the 29th minute, Anze Prostor scored to give Jesenice the lead again. Olli Valtonen increased it in the third period, but Zell am See came close once again. However, Jaka Sturm scored an empty netter eight seconds before the end to decide the game. With their sixth win in a row, Jesenice also took the lead in the Alps Hockey League.
The Rittner Buam SkyAlps remain in third place behind the leading duo. The reigning AHL champions won 5:3 at the bottom team Gardena. Alan Lobis opened the scoring for the visitors with his first of two goals in front of more than 1,250 fans. However, the "Furie" equalised through Brad McGowan one second before the break. In the middle period, however, Ritten pulled away to 3:1 within a few minutes, Markus Spinell provided the supposed preliminary decision ten minutes before the end. Val Gardena didn't give up and came back to 3:4, but an empty netter sealed the victory for Ritten.
Fourth-placed Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel became the first team to break the 100-goal mark this season with a 7:1 home win over Celje. In front of 1,250 spectators, the Tyroleans took the lead after 33 seconds through Jannik Fröwis. Although the Slovenians managed to equalise in the meantime, Kitzbühel went ahead again in the first period and increased the lead to 3:1 in the middle period. Fröwis scored two more goals in the third period to complete a hat-trick and Kitzbühel ultimately celebrated a clear victory.
Hafro Cortina Hockey returned to winning ways with an overtime victory in Merano, with the fifth-placed visitors winning 3:2 in front of almost 1,100 fans. After Merano took an early lead (Trivellato, 2nd), Leonardo Felicetti equalised while short-handed. The home side went ahead again in the middle period through Daniel Gellon, but a second Felicetti goal forced overtime. In the extra session, Gregory DiTomaso scored the winner.
With their third win in a row, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan moved up to seventh place. The team from Sterzing won at home against the Unterland Cavaliers. The visitors were 2:0 ahead after 31 minutes, but James Livingston heralded the turning point with his first of two goals. The home side equalised early in the third period, then Livingston scored in PP2 to make it 3:2. In the end, the Broncos won 5:2.
In front of more than 1,350 spectators, EC Bregenzerwald managed to get revenge for yesterday's defeat against KHL Sisak. After a goalless first period, the Vorarlberg team took the lead through Roberts Lipsbergs while shorthanded and were even 3:1 ahead after the middle period. In the third period, the home side took care of the final decision within two minutes and finally left the ice with a 5:2 victory.
