HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice took revenge on EHC Lustenau for the clear defeat in the first duel of the season and turned a two-goal deficit into a 3:2 win after overtime, with the leader celebrating its fourth win in a row and now has a six-point lead over second-placed Vorarlberg side. They were ahead by two goals with two seconds left in the second, as Ziga Urukalo (40.) scored on the power play and Nejc Brus (42.) equalized right after the restart. League top scorer Eric Pance (61.) once again netted the game-winner in overtime. All three primary assists of the Slovenians came from Erik Svetina.

The Rittner Buam have caught up with the “Stickers” again and are only one point behind the Vorarlberg team after their clear 8:4 home win over EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. Ritten laid the foundation for their tenth win in the last eleven home games with a 3:0 start in the first period. Alex Frei (1G|4A) showed a 5-point game, Julian Kostner scored a brace. Kitzbühel lost also in its seventh appearance in Ritten.

Salzburg and Asiago drop points
Red Bull Hockey Juniors and Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, both of which remain in the top six, were defeated on Saturday. After four wins in a row, the Salzburg team lost 3:4 after overtime against HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, which got back on track after three failures. Maks Selan scored for the South Tyroleans, which took only one penalty in total, 27 seconds left in overtime.

Asiago, which like Ritten and Val Gardena is already qualified for the semifinals of the Italian championship, lost at HC Merano(o). The league newcomer prevailed 3:2 and has a chance to fix the top-4 in the fight for the Italian title on Wednesday against Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. Against Asiago, Merano benefited from an early two-goal lead after six minutes and goalie Frederic Cloutier, who shone with a save percentage of 95.2%.

Fassa and Cortina cheer road wins
The SHC Fassa Falcons and S.G. Cortina Hafro both recorded clear road victories on Saturday. The "Falcons" managed their third win in a row in the 4:1 win in Linz, which also marked their seventh successful duel overall against the Steel Wings. Daniel Tedesco (12G|25A), Fassa's second-leading scorer and tied for fourth in the league standings, was directly involved in every goal and collected four assists.

Cortina outshot the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan 7:2 and inflicted another defeat on the South Tyroleans in the second game in their new arena. With the success, the Italians kept alive their chance to reach the Italian championship. Marco Sanna scored twice for the visitors.

Feldkirch keeps home point streak alive
BEMER VEU Feldkirch has also grabbed points in the fourth consecutive home game. The Vorarlberg team won the duel of the bottom-placed teams against the Vienna Capitals Silver 5:2 and took revenge for the clear defeat in the first season meeting. The guests from Vienna equalized with two goals in the first five minutes of the final period, but the home team struck back three times and got its fifth win of the season. Adrian Rosenberger scored his first goal for the Vorarlberg team.
