Red Bull Hockey Juniors - EC 'Die Adler' Stadtwerke Kitzbühel 7:3 (0:0, 6:0, 1:3)
The Juniors were without Florian Baltram who got nominated for the Austrian national team. After seven minutes the hosts had the first big chance when Daniel Wachter only hit the post on a breakaway. Soon later Patrik Kittinger failed twice during a power play because of Kitzbühel goalie Thomas Hechenberger. Niklas Postel (25') broke the spell after a goalless first when he scored on his own rebound. Just 51 seconds later Nico Feldner doubled the lead off passes from Postel and Yannic Pilloni. The Juniors scored four more second-period goals by  Christof Wappis, Victor Östling, Maximilian Egger and Samuel Soramies for a 6:0 lead after 40 minutes. Jose Kangaskorte replaced Hechenberger in KEC net for the third period and the guests became better. Henrik Hochfilzer got them on the scoreboard and then David Lidström and Filip Orsagh scored a brace within 18 seconds for a 6:3 score. With Kitzbühel pulling the goalie in the final minutes, Emil Quaas rounded off the scoring with an empty netter.

EC Bregenzerwald - EK Zeller Eisbären 1:2 (0:1, 1:1, 0:0)
The fans saw a fast-paced game on high level right from the beginning. The hosts got off a better start but could not beat Zell am See goalie Patrick Machreich on several occasions. After a big mistake in the ECB defense, Tobias Dinhopel opened the scoring in the 13th minute off passes by Albert Kramer and Franz Wilfan. The hosts came out hard for the second, outshooting their opponents 26:8 in that period. However, Machreich performed very well and made some big stops. It was Petr Vala, who lit the lamp at the other end when he beat Bregenzerwald netminder Misa Pietilä on a solo attempt. Just 30 seconds later, Henrik Neubauer broke the spell for the home team to make it a one-goal game again. In the third the visitors focused on their defensive work and despite ECB pressing hard, it worked out well. Zell am See killed the clock and climbed to eighth place with a 2:1 road win.
