Release from 25.10.2025
Five of Saturday’s six Alps Hockey League games were decided by just one goal. While the Red Bull Hockey Juniors extended their lead at the top of the standings, KHL Sisak won the first clash against Ritten. EK Zeller Eisbären were the only team to celebrate an away victory, moving up to fourth place.
KHL Sisak – Rittner Buam SkyAlps 5:4 SO
In front of nearly 1,700 fans, Sisak and Ritten delivered a thrilling back-and-forth encounter. The visitors struck early, but the Croatians equalized just before the first intermission. After trading goals again, Sisak took the lead for the first time in the 35th minute, only for Ritten to answer immediately with the 3-3. The South Tyroleans also came back late in regulation to force overtime at 4-4. In the shootout, Panasenko secured a highly celebrated home win. The two sides will face each other again on Sunday.
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it – HC Meran/o Pircher 4:3 OT
Gherdeina got off to a perfect start against Meran, scoring early power-play goals in both the first and second periods. The visitors responded each time to tie the game. In the 31st minute, the hosts went ahead again, but Meran equalized once more through Gellon, also on the power play. With the score at 3-3, the game went to overtime, where Buono netted the winner. Gherdeina thus ended its three-game losing streak, while Meran suffered a fourth consecutive loss.
Hockey Unterland Cavaliers – EK Zeller Eisbären 4:5
The last-place team gave reigning champion Zell am See a tough battle but fell narrowly short in the end. The Pinzgau team opened the scoring early before Unterland temporarily turned the game around. Zell equalized and regained the lead early in the third period. The hosts closed the gap late, but goals from Wilfan and Stiegler—his second of the night—made it 5-3. Unterland’s fourth goal came too late, as Zell triumphed 5-4 and climbed to fourth place.
Red Bull Hockey Juniors – HC Migross Asiago 7:5
A real offensive spectacle unfolded in Salzburg. Asiago jumped ahead 2-0 thanks to a quick double from Porco, but the league leaders turned the game around before the first intermission. The home side repeatedly restored a two-goal advantage, and Lemke’s 7-4 marker sealed the deal. The Juniors celebrated a 7-5 victory—their fifth straight win—to further solidify their top position.
EC Bregenzerwald – HDD Jesenice 3:2
EC Bregenzerwald continued its strong home form, collecting its third home win of the season. In front of more than 1,200 fans, the Vorarlberg team opened the scoring in the fifth minute and doubled the lead in the middle frame. Lipsbergs made it 3-0 and took over the top spot in the club’s all-time scoring list. Jesenice fought back with two goals, but couldn’t find the equalizer.
S.G. Cortina Hafro – Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan 3:2
After four losses in a row, Cortina returned to winning ways. In a hard-fought contest, Massimo Pietroniro put his team ahead in the 29th minute, and the hosts added a second before the break. The Broncos twice closed the gap in the final period, but Cortina held on for a vital 3-2 victory and much-needed points.
