Fri, 17.02.2023, 19:15: HK SZ Olimpija - Hydro Fehervar AV 19
Referees: FICHTNER, RENCZ, Gatol-Schafranek | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Only one win from the last nine games is on the books for Ljubljana, yet the Slovenians always demand everything from their opponents. Fehérvár returned from the international break with a defeat in Villach, from the last six matches they also got only one win. The runners-up from Hungary are currently in eighth place and will probably have to try to book a quarter-final ticket via the pre-playoffs. Ljubljana won two of three duels this season, but Fehérvár prevailed 5:2 at the end of January.
On Friday, Ljubljana will also host the "Karl Nedwed Trophy" at the last tour stop. At the duel between Olimpija and Fehérvár, the 18.25 kilogram object of desire can be examined, selfies and photos included.
Fri, 17.02.2023, 19:15: EC-KAC - HCB Südtirol Alperia
Referees: M. NIKOLIC, TRILAR, Bärnthaler, Hribar | >> PPV-Livestream <<
The EC-KAC won five of its last six league games and with rank six (with one game less than the direct competitors from Vienna and Linz) got a good starting position for the final spurt in the regular season. HCB Südtirol has been top of the table again since Tuesday and has a good chance to finish the regular season in first place for the third time in the last four seasons. The Foxes have won 17 of their last 20 league games and have also won five away from home. In total, the teams have faced each other 67 times since Bolzano entered the league, with the Carinthians winning 38 - especially on home ice, Austria's record champion can point to a strong record of 24 wins in 33 games against its Italian counterpart. However, the Foxes have won each of the three meetings so far this season. For the KAC, Thomas Vallant and Lukas Haudum, who is making his comeback after a twelve-week injury layoff, return to the lineup.
Fri, 17.02.2023, 19:15: HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: HRONSKY, SMETANA, Durmis, Riecken | >> PPV-Livestream <<
There is currently a lot at stake for both Innsbruck and Graz. The Tyroleans, who recently celebrated three wins in a row, are in third place and want to at least secure this position in the last home game of the Regular Season. The hosts even have a chance to secure a first-time CHL participation in the regular season. Graz, on the other hand, slipped to eleventh place on Tuesday and is outside the pre-playoff ranks. Especially away from home, the Styrians hardly went according to plan, picking up only three points in their last nine road games. In addition, the Tyrolean side has won the three previous duels this season. The Graz team will have to do without Andrew Yogan, and Niklas Olausson has left the 99ers for Sweden.
Fri, 17.02.2023, 19:30: BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg - EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
Referees: BERNEKER, SCHAUER, Martin, Wimmler | >> PPV-Livestream <<
VSV already got its quarterfinal ticket before the international break, on Tuesday the Carinthians celebrated against Fehérvár the already fifth victory in a row. This also secured fourth place, the Eagles still have theoretical chances to make up one place. The Pioneers, on the other hand, are at the bottom of the table. The team from Vorarlberg recently suffered three clear defeats and conceded an average of more than five goals in these matches. VSV has already beaten the league newcomers three times this season. On the Carinthian side, twelve different players have scored in these games. VSV will be missing Chris Collins, Simon Despres and Dominik Grafenthin. Layne Viveiros is also not in the line-up against his former team.
Fri, 17.02.2023, 19:45: Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey - spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: OFNER, ZRNIC, Pardatscher, Zgonc | >> PPV-Livestream <<
With a 4:2 win over champions Salzburg, Asiago earned their sixth home win in a row on Tuesday. The Capitals also had reason to celebrate, they improved to fifth place with a clear success over Linz. While the in-form Italians are well on their way to the pre-playoffs, the Viennese are fighting for direct quarterfinal qualification. With Giordano Finoro (26 goals), Allan McShane (23) resp. Max Zimmer (25), Matt Bradley (22), both teams have two players each in the top-10 of the scoring list. The three previous season duels were always close affairs. The Viennese won the first meeting 4:3 on December 21. Asiago won the last two games with 3:2 after shootout and 6:5 after overtime.
Fri, 17.02.2023, 19:45: HC Pustertal - Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Referees: PIRAGIC, STERNAT, Nothegger, Seewald | >> PPV-Livestream <<
HC Pustertal returned from the international break with a win in Graz and overtook the 99ers in the standings as a result. Thus, the South Tyrolean team as well as the upcoming opponent from Linz are currently on a pre-playoff place. After strong months, the form curve of the Upper Austrians has shown a downward trend since the turn of the year, with only four wins from the last 14 games for the Black Wings. After Linz took the victory in the first two season meetings, the team from Brunico grabbed three points from Linz at the end of January. But in front of their home crowd things haven't gone according to plan for the Wolves lately with four defeats, twice Pustertal didn't even score a goal.
