The EC-KAC remains the team of the moment. The league leaders, who have enjoyed an impressive run in recent weeks, secured the highest win in the league for five years with a 12-0 victory over Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. The highest win in league history to date was achieved in the inaugural season: On Feb. 25, 2001, EC VSV managed a 14-0 victory over the Eishockey-Verein Zeltweg. The last KAC victory with a 12-goal difference was on 06.01.2019, a 12:0 win over KHL Medvescak Zagreb. Lukas Haudum and Paul Postma stood out in the most recent game. Haudum scored his first four-goal game - the 37th player to do so in the 25-year history of the league. Postma had a five-point game with two goals and three assists. It was also remarkable that eleven of the twelve KAC goals were scored at even strength. With this resounding victory, Klagenfurt became the first team of the season to break the 150-goal mark and are now averaging 3.78 goals per game.

Fehérvár remain hot on the heels of the leaders
Hydro Fehérvár AV19 celebrated a hard-fought 3:2 victory over EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV in the 43rd round, keeping them hot on the heels of the leaders. Istvan Terbocs scored the decisive goal in the 59th minute. The gap to the KAC is still four points, although the Hungarians have played one game more. With this defeat, EC iDM Wärmepumpen missed the chance to return to the top six for the time being. The gap to sixth-placed Linz grew to two points.

Bolzano in fourth place after Tyrolean derby win
HCB Südtirol Alperia used its momentum from the weekend (wins against Fehérvár and Salzburg) to secure a shutout victory against HC TIWAG Innsbruck. Connor Ford, who had already stood out in the two previous games, scored a brace in the 2-0 win. With five goals and three assists in the last three games, he helped the Foxes knock the Sharks out of fourth place in the standings.

Black Wings celebrate second shootout win in a row
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz celebrated their second win in a row after a penalty shootout. After winning the extra point against HC TIWAG Innsbruck last weekend, they repeated the feat against EC Red Bull Salzburg. With the 2:1-SO victory, they were able to maintain sixth place in the table. EC Red Bull Salzburg, meanwhile, are in danger of losing touch with the top duo. They are five points behind second-placed Hydro Fehérvár AV19, while EC-KAC are already nine points ahead.

Olimpija and Vienna close in on the play-off places
HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana managed a 4:3 overtime win against HC Pustertal. With their fourth win in a row, the Slovenians reduced the gap to seventh and eighth place to five points. HC Pustertal, only two points behind the top six despite the defeat, remains in the playoff battle.

The spusu Vienna Capitals ended their negative streak of four defeats with a 4:3 win at the Moser Medical Graz99ers. Despite the Viennese team taking a 4:1 lead at one stage, the Grazers fought back to 3:4, but were unable to force overtime.
