KAC extends winning streak

The EC-KAC extends the winning streak after a 3:2 success against the HC Orli Znojmo. It was the fifths consecutive win of the KAC, the HC Orli Znojmo had to take sevenths defeat in a row.

Znojmo started stronger in the opening period, creating an early chance through Bartos, who was left alone in front of the net, but was denied by goalie Tomas Duba. The visitors then stepped up and had chances of their own. Eventually, Marco Richter rounded the net and scored with a chip past Schwarz to give KAC a one-goal lead.
 
Lundmark and Geier missed big chances early in the second period to increase the visitors' lead and eventually Znojmo managed to get on the scoresheet after more than 100 minutes without a goal as Erik Nemec skated down the center ice past several defensemen and beat the goalie with a shot into a five-hole area. Yet KAC regained the lead six minutes later through Stefan Geier and his surprise shot through traffic that found it´s way into the top corner.
 
KAC pulled further into the lead at 42:31 when Lundmark´s shot on a powerplay went straight into the top corner. Znojmo came back at the end of the powerplay when Marek Spacek netter a breakaway goal to make it a one-goal game again, but that was all Znojmo could do and KAC takes home all points.
