Second-placed Hydro Fehérvár AV19 has the chance to take the lead in the standings, as league leader EC Red Bull Salzburg is free from play. In the top match, the EC-KAC will host the HCB Südtirol Alperia. In addition, the Steinbach Black Wings Linz, who would take over at the top of the table with a win and a loss by Fehérvár, will face the spusu Vienna Capitals. The 29th round kicks off on Saturday with two games.
The Moser Medical Graz99ers announced the signing of Sascha Bauer. The 28-year-old, who has spent almost his entire career with the Vienna Capitals so far, signed a contract with the 99ers until January 7th. The forward is expected to make his debut against Pustertal on Friday.

The Canadian is the top scorer in the win2day ICE Hockey League with 37 points (19 goals + 18 assists). By contrast, the Vienna Capitals ended a three-game losing streak with a 4:2 win over the Pioneers Vorarlberg on Sunday - the Viennese now have their sights set on the pre-playoff spots. Sebastian Wraneschitz has shown good performances recently, and the 21-year-old has also been nominated for the Young Star of the Month award for November. After 18 appearances for the Black Wings this season, Finn Rasmus Tirronen has a save percentage of 93.4 percent - no other active goalie in the win2day ICE Hockey League has a higher figure. The HC Pustertal can look back on a difficult weekend: first they lost in the derby against Bolzano after already leading 2:0, followed by a 1:4 defeat against Linz. The now seventh-placed team from Bruneck now wants to return to the top six. In the first duel of the season with Graz, the Styrians came out on top in overtime. Anthony Salinitri scored a brace in the 3:2 win, the Canadian scored seven times in the last six games. The 99ers have strengthened their roster with Sascha Bauer. For the second time this season, Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey will face the spusu Vienna Capitals on Saturday in Vienna. On November 17, the Italians narrowly won 5:4/OT in Vienna. After 43 minutes they were already leading 3:0. It was Asiago's second win of the season against the Capitals in their second season duel. So far, Asiago has won four out of six ICE duels with Vienna.
