KAC has a new Head Coach

EC-KAC has presented Fin Petri Matikainen as their new Head Coach. HC Orli Znojmo added with Martin Holik (G), Adam Sedlak (D), Marek Kalus and Nicolas Hlava (both F) – four Czechs to their roster. Defenseman Ryan Glenn (CAN) went from EC VSV to Fehervar AV19, Power-Forward Sam Antonitsch to Innsbruck.

EC-KAC has presented Petri Matikainen as their new Head Coach. The Fin has been Head Coach of the Lahti Pelicans in the Finish Top-Liiga the past three years. Matikanen finished his career as a player in Klagenfurt 1999 and worked already as a Head Coach of the Moser Medical Graz99ers in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (2014/15). The 51 years old Fin worked most time in Finland (with the Espoo Blues, HIFK, Pelicans and the Finish National Team from 2010 until 2012), but he coached Avangard Omsk and HC Slovan Bratislava in the KHL as well (2013 until 2015).
 
Sam Antonitsch will go for goals and points for HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ in the 2018/19-season. The 22 years old power-forward played for EC VSV last season and scored seven points (3G/4A) out of 53 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga games. Besides, he celebrated his debut in the A national team as well.
 
HC Orli Znojmo added with young-goalie Martin Holik, defenseman Adam Sedlak and the forwards Marek Kalus and Nicolas Hlava four Czechs to their roster. Sedlak has won the title with HC Banska Bystrica in Slovakia in the past two seasons.
 
Ryan Glenn will defend for Fehervar AV19 in the upcoming season! The Canadian has already played for EC Red Bull Salzburg (2012/13), HCB Südtirol Alperia (2016/17) and for EC VSV (2017/18) in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. Glenn was the Point best defenseman of EC VSV past season, the Canadian had 25 points (8G/17A) out of 51 Erste Bank Eishockey Liga games. The 37 years old Canadian has collected experience from several other top-leagues as well. Glenn was Champion with Kärpät in Finland 2015 and has played for team in the American Hockey League, in Sweden, Czech Repulbic or Switzerland as well. Headcoach Hannu Järvenpää knows: „When we take a look at his stats, we see Ryan has a lot of experience in different leagues and different countries. One of those experienced players who knows what it takes to live life as a pro.  He will be one of our anchors in defense zone but he can also move the puck on PP and Ryan he has a quality shot.“
