EC Red Bull Salzburg won their home game of the win2day ICE Hockey League against Steinbach Black Wings Linz in front of a great crowd. The hosts played with a significantly rejuvenated team due to many absences - eleven players had reported sick - and earned a 2:1 win after overtime. After a goalless first, Kalle Myllymaa scored his first goal from an acute angle in the second period to give the Red Bulls the lead, which Linz equalised in the third period: Shawn St-Amant beat Salzburg's 19-year-old goalkeeper Simon Wolf, who was playing his second ICE game, from half distance. The game went into overtime at 1:1, in which the Upper Austrians had more of the play - but Wolf once again showed his strength with two monster saves. Mario Huber secured the home win 43 seconds before the end, meaning the Red Bulls go into the international break as league leaders.

KAC wins 353rd Carinthian derby
After three defeats in a row, the EC-KAC returned to winning ways in the derby. The Red Jackets took the lead in their home game against EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV with a goal from Lukas Haudum, who had previously gone eleven games in a row without scoring. Thomas Vallant increased the hosts' lead in the second period, but Villach struck back. Powerplay goals from Robert Sabolic (36') and Dylan MacPherson (43') even saw the visitors equalise in the third period. However, the Red & Whites had an answer six-and-a-half minutes before the end - just at a time when Lukas Moser replaced VSV goalkeeper JP Lamoureux, who was briefly injured: Niki Kraus lit the lamp to make it 3:2. Villach tried their luck with a sixth skater in a final push, but Manuel Ganahl scored to make it 4:2. Klagenfurt thus gained revenge for their first derby defeat of the season.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 are now first in pursuit of leaders Salzburg, having scored two quick goals in their home game against the spusu Vienna Capitals. Guillaume Leclerc took the lead after just 74 seconds and Bence Stipsicz made it 2:0 in the fifth minute. The visitors did not let this get them down and got into the game better as the third period progressed. Evan Weinger was also able to reduce the deficit in the first period. But Fehérvár extended their lead in the middle period with a double strike: Istvan Terbocs and Janos Hari scored within 37 seconds to give the team a three-goal lead. The score remained 4:1 until the final minute, when Caps captain Mario Fischer pulled one back.

Bolzano secures only away win
HCB Südtirol Alperia continued their winning run against the Moser Medical Graz99ers, while the team bottom of the table was once again beaten despite a good performance. The home side had the better chances in the first period, but it remained a goalless draw until the first break. Bolzano then took the lead in the second through Daniel Frank. The Bolzano captain was in front of Lars Volden in a 1 on 0 situation while short-handed and scored his first goal of the season. Graz were clearly the better team in the final period, but once again missed top opportunities. When goalie Volden went off the ice, Dustin Gazley fixed the 2:0 final score.

Innsbruck and Ljubljana back to winning ways
HC TIWAG Innsbruck started brilliantly against Asiago. Captain Jan Lattner opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a spectacular shot into the corner of the net, and Brady Shaw and Lukas Bär followed up. However, the visitors became more dangerous as the period progressed and Gennaro made it 1:3 shortly before the end of the period. HCI netminder Markus Gratzer, who was celebrating his league debut, cancelled out further opportunities for the visitors. The Italians then came out of the dressing room in better form. Rapuzzi brought the visitors closer first and Marchetti later scored to make it 3:3 - both goals were scored in the power play. Asiago turned the game around in the third period with a Gazzola goal, but then Gordie Green became the match-winner for the home side. First he scored to make it 4:4, then in overtime he secured the extra point for the Sharks, who ended their three-game losing streak.

Ljubljana also returned to winning ways in another nine-goal spectacle. The Slovenians took a 2:0 lead in their home game against Pustertal with a brace in the first period. The home side added to their lead after the restart and Ziga Pance even made it 4:0 in the 26th minute, but Pustertal came back with three goals within nine minutes and the game threatened to slip out of Olimpija's hands. A goal from Miha Zajc in the 43rd minute gave the hosts a boost again. Although the visitors from Bruneck had more of the play in the third period, they were unable to prevent their fifth defeat in the last six games. Rok Kapel finally scored the last goal to secure a 6:3 home win.
