Along with EC Red Bull Salzburg and HCB Südtirol Alperia, EC-KAC is one of the six teams in the Champions Hockey League that is still unbeaten in this year's competition. After two overtime wins, the Carinthians lead Group G ahead of Donbass (UKR) and Rungsted. Nick Petersen scored twice in Sunday's 3:2 win and Lukas Haudum scored the game winner in overtime. In Hørsholm, the reigning ICE champions will be aiming to improve their away record at European level, having won only two of eight CHL matches played away from home in the club's history so far.

"We know from last weekend how Rungsted plays and we have worked out a concept with the coaches. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we haven't made enough use of our chances so far. It is positive that we are creating opportunities, but now it is important that we convert them into goals," said forward Samuel Witting.

After the game, the Carinthians will travel from Denmark to France, where they will play Rouen on Saturday. The Klagenfurt line-up remains unchanged. The injured Paul Postma will not make the trip to Denmark and France, all other squad players are fit for action.
