After the sixth-placed Rittner Buam had to go into overtime twice and lost the top games against the Red Bull Hockey Juniors and the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, the team from Klobenstein has three games on the schedule this week. The first match is the duel with the KAC Future Team on Tuesday. Head coach Santeri Heiskanen will only have to do without his goalkeeper Hayden Hawkey. Leonhard Hasler returns to the lineup after recovering from injury. The Carinthians were beaten after overtime in Kitzbühel on Saturday, their only point from the last six games. The Klagenfurters, who are currently in second-last place, narrowly lost out in the first duel of the season against Ritten with 2:3. The South Tyroleans have also won all six AHL home games against the KAC so far.

Karlström replaces Hook in Kitzbühel
Lewis Hook had to leave EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel for personal reasons and has returned to his home country England. The Tyrolean sporting management quickly found a replacement in 21-year-old Swede David Karlström. Despite his young age, the two-way forward has played the last three years in the HockeyAllsvenskan, making 92 appearances and recording nine goals and ten assists. Most recently, he was signed for four weeks by Odense in the Danish first league to compensate for injuries in their team.
