Ranftl brace in Kitzbühel’s win
The EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel took revenge for the overtime defeat at Steel Wings Linz in the first meeting of the season - and won the second duel 4:2. The Tyroleans were the team that dominated the game from the very beginning and had a clear advantage in terms of chances. Fabian Ranftl recorded his first brace in the Alps Hockey League for the "eagles", which took only one penalty during the entire match. Kitzbühel's top scorer Mikael Johansson scored one goal and two assists in a three-point game. For Linz, which remained goalless in the last four games, Stefan Freunschlag scored a brace too.

Red Bull Hockey Juniors maintain home record
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors won the ninth home game of the Alps Hockey League season after regulation too. They beat EC-KAC II 3:2 and celebrated their second victory within 48 hours against Klagenfurt. For the Carinthians it was the ninth defeat in a row. In a game dominated by Salzburg, where Mauritz Merra was covering the net for the first time, the guests gained an advantage with early powerplay goals each frame, but Salzburg skillfully equalized this advantage. Florian Vorauer kept his team until deep into the last period - only 115 seconds left Julian Lutz scored his second to decide the game.

Cortina turns it around in overtime
S.G. Cortina Hafro celebrated a late comeback win against the Rittner Buam. With the 2:1 victory after Overtime, Cortina thus also scored points in the 18th consecutive home game. For Ritten it was the first points win after the one-month Covid 19 break. The "Buam", who took the lead in the powerplay by Simon Kostner in the 21st minute, owe this to their goalie Hannes Treibenreif and a strong penalty killing. The goalkeeper stopped a total of 41 shots on his goal until the equalizer was scored 2,5 minutes left. Mike Cazzola tied it at one and in overtime Phil Pietroniro (64./PP1) was finally turning it around on powerplay.
