1417 spectators gathered in the Ke Kelit Arena for the derby between EK Die Zeller Eisbären and EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel - and they were treated to a goal festival. After an even opening frame with two goals on both sides, the home side took command in the second period and were ahead 5:2 after just under 27 minutes. But the guests fought back, equalized in the same period - thanks to two powerplay goals and a shorthander. The rollercoaster ride continued in the final period: Ricards Purins (44.) made it 5:6, Philip Putnik (52.) equalized again before Raivo Freidenfelds scored the game-winner with 59 seconds left. With their fourth win of the season, the "Adler" moved up to seventh place in the standings.

Bregenzerwald and Linz look upwards
EC Bregenzerwald and Steel Wings Linz both celebrated road wins and continue to look upwards, as the twelfth (ECB) and 13th (SWL) ranked teams are three and four points short of a single-digit place in the standings. The Vorarlberg team won 9:3 at the EC-KAC Future Team. Roberts Lipsbergs impressed with a 6-point game including a hat trick. Richard Schlögl netted three goals too.

For the Upper Austrians - they won 5:1 at BEMER VEU Feldkirch - two players scored a brace to decide the game. Ulf Ekelund (2G|2A) and Niko Lahtinen (2G|1A) gave the Linz side their first win in their seventh duel with the Vorarlberg team. Guests 19-year-old goalie Leon Sommer showed a strong game (96.9% save-percentage).

Asiago stays on the heels of Jesenice
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey stayed on the heels of league leader Jesenice and inflicted a heavy defeat on HC Merano/o Pircher. Last year's runners-up outclassed the league newcomers 7:0, with Gianluca Vallini collecting his second shutout this season. The former champion laid the foundation for the victory with three goals in the first five minutes, two of them on the power play. Stefano Giliati scored his second brace in a row.

Ritten scored eight unanswered to win
The Rittner Buam conced two by Red Bull Hockey Juniors in the first minute of the game - and finally celebrated a clear 8:2 road victory. With their fourth win in a row, the South Tyroleans advanced to the top-3 of the Alps Hockey League. The "Buam" were trailing two after 59 seconds, then Ritten got going: the game was still turned around in the first period, in the further course Ritten's strong offense - in the last two games they scored an average of 6,5 goals - struck five more times and came to a clear victory.

Broncos end Lustenau's winning streak
The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan put an end to EHC Lustenau's winning streak with a 7-4 victory in Vorarlberg. The "Stickers", still in fourth place, had to admit defeat again after four wins. The "Broncos" grabbed their fifth win of the season and, as fifth in the table, are now only two points behind Lustenau. They got off a strong start: By the 36th minute, the South Tyroleans had scored five goals - and were always in control of the game.
