The EC-KAC was able to carry the momentum from its successful week in the Champions Hockey League into the win2day ICE Hockey League and celebrated a 5:2 victory over the Pioneers Vorarlberg. Klagenfurt initially made good use of their powerplay situations and scored two pp-goals to take a 2:0 lead. Steven Strong added his first goal of the season before the young Vorarlberg native Marlon Tschofen made it 3:1 with his first career goal in the win2day ICE Hockey League. The Pioneers managed to score the connecting goal in the final period, but Klagenfurt took care of the decision in the final minutes.
