Klagenfurt missed sensation at CHL-Champion, Bozen with next Shut-out-win

On Saturday EC-KAC lost in the Champions Hockey League (CHL) at Champion Frölunda Gothenburg after a strong performance with 1:2. Besides HCB Südtirol Alperia got their third Shut-out-win in a row, while HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ was defeated at Schwenningen.

Klagenfurt missed sensation at CHL-Champion Frölunda
EC-KAC impressed with a strong performance over 60 minutes in their Champions Hockey League-game at Frolunda Gotenburg. But in minute 19 the Swedish club had a 5-on-3-Power Play, in which Joel Lundqvist scored the 1:0 for the hosts. Then quickly after the second re-start Klagenfurt striked back: After just 12 seconds Matt Neal made the 1:1. But the CHL-Champion from 2016 and 2017 had the better end thanks a goal from Pontus Widerström in minute 50. The Austrians got chances to come back, but missed two Power Plays in the last ten minutes and also could not scored 6-on-5 in the finish of the game.
 
Sharks lost at Schwenningen
HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ continued their Pre-Season on Saturday with a friendy game at Schwenningen. After Jesse Mychan scored the lead for the Tyroleans in minute 6 the game continued in an intense manner. Jesse Mychan was responsable then also for the next highlight: The Canadian Forward had a fight, which ended in a Game Misconduct for the Shark. With too many penalties the Austrians made their opponent stronger and stronger then. The result were two goals and the lead for the Wild Wings. The Tyroleans equalized still in period one thanks a goal  from Clemens Paulweber. The guests got the upper hand of the game, but Schwenningen scored the goal – 3:2. After a fast game the Tyroleans could not come back in period 3 anymore, the DEL-club even added the 4:2.
 
Next Shutout-win for Bozen!
Just 24 hours after the 3:0-win at Asiago HCB Südtirol Alperia welcomed the „Yellow-Reds“ on Saturday in their home-opener for the re-match. It took the „Foxes“ just three minutes to score the lead from Luca Frigo. It was already the Game Winner, because then both goalies were not to beat anymore. This means Bozen has a goal-statistic of 12:0 after three friendly games so far!
