Lakers secure convincing home win against Bratislava

In the only game of the day in the European Women’s Hockey League, Lakers Kärnten celebrated a convincing 7-4 home victory over HK PSRZ Bratislava. With the loss, the Slovak team missed the chance to move up to second place in the standings. The Lakers remain in eighth place.

After just seven minutes, the Carinthian team was already leading 2-0, and by the 15th minute, they held a 4-1 advantage. Although Bratislava managed to narrow the gap at the start of the second period, the Lakers’ win was never seriously in doubt. After 40 minutes, they were comfortably ahead 6-2; following the 7-2 goal, the visitors ultimately reduced the score to 4-7. Notably, Emma Hall and Jana Volkan both scored two goals each.
