Stopping by at Straubing Tigers, the Champions Hockey League group stage ends for EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV on Tuesday. As the "Adler" no longer have a chance to reach the eighth finals of the European competition, they hit the road with a very young team to gain experience.

After the 1-3 home defeat against the Straubing Tigers last Tuesday, the promotion chances for EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV were prematurely gone. In the upcoming second leg, the main focus will be on giving young talents the chance to gain experience at the top level. Numerous regulars are out: Julian Payr and Dominik Grafenthin are still injured. Marco Richter, Benjamin Lanzinger and Maximilian Rebernig are also absent as well as Robert Sabolic, Alexander Rauchenwald, Simon Depres and Arturs Kulda. John Hughes, Chris Collins, Andrew Desjardins and Derek Joslin will also be spared.
The youngsters Dominik Prodinger, Luca Potocnik, Julian Raspotnig, Daniel Hintermann, Elias Nindler, Luca Kohlmaier, Tim Geifes as well as Maximilian Aumaier and Paolo Wieltschnig will move up to the team and can thus gain appropriate international experience. Alexander Schmidt will start, Lukas Moser will be his back-up.
