Both the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan and the EC-KAC Future Team have no more chance to reach the Master Round, but can improve their starting position for the respective Qualification Round in the remaining matches. While the Broncos came well out of their 14-day break and won clearly against the Vienna Capitals Silver, the KAC Future Team stood for over a month before suffering a 0:3 defeat against Asiago in their comeback. The first duel of the season, however, was decided by the Klagenfurter with 4:2 for themselves.

Table leader HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice has not only already qualified for the Master Round, but will start it already fixed with the maximum number of bonus points. The Steel Wings Linz, on the other hand, who will have to continue their season after this weekend in one of the two Qualification Rounds, will have to do without bonus points. Accordingly, the roles of favorites in this encounter are also distributed. But at least last season the team from Linz managed a big surprise against the Slovenians.

Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey welcomes EHC Lustenau in the top match of the round. Both teams can no longer be ousted from a place in the Master Round. While Asiago wants to secure its second place, it is important for the Vorarlberg to get the fourth place into dry cloths. Lustenau won the first duel of the season. The Rittner Buam welcome the Red Bull Hockey Juniors for the opener of the last weekend of the Regular Season. While the Buam have already secured their place among the top-6, it could still be tight for the Juniors. The current point average is only 0.003 points better than that of seventh-placed Cortina. If the Salzburgers can't conquer at least two points, they would already fall out of the Master Round places again in the meantime. The Rittner Buam, on the other hand, could even reach second place in the standings. The first season duel was still a clear affair for the Buam.

In the duel between HC Meran/o Pircher and EC Bregenzerwald two teams meet that are quite close in the table. For both teams it is still about bonus points for the Qualification Round. With a full success the league newcomer could catch up to the Vorarlbergers. These two teams meet for the first time in the Alps Hockey League.

SHC Fassa Falcons is facing an important away game at BEMER VEU Feldkirch. Currently the Falcons are still on a qualification spot for the Master Round. However, the lead over the chasers is small and any loss of points could be expensive in the final standings of the basic round. The Feldkircher would currently start without bonus points in the Qualification Round, only with a strong finish the Vorarlbergers could still gain an advantage.

HC Gherdeina is currently outside the places for the Master Round. With a strong weekend, however, this could still be achieved in the last second. First, a full three points against the Vienna Capitals Silver would be necessary to still have a say in the top-6. The Viennese are on the last place and will have to start accordingly without advantages into the Qualification Round. Gherdeina won the first meeting this season 4:1.
