League and politics work together on solutions

In the league video conference on Tuesday, the clubs of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League confirmed their plans to start the season on 25th of September 2020. Based on the positive discourse with the public authorities over the past few weeks and a conversation between the league's president Jochen Pildner-Steinburg and vice chancellor resp. sports minister Werner Kogler yesterday.

On Wednesday, August 5, a meeting will take place between league representatives and health minister Rudolf Anschober. The aim of the meeting is to bring the cooperative talks regarding possible spectator capacities to a positive conclusion and to create planning security.

"The current situation poses a big challenge. However, the league and its clubs are pulling together even in these difficult times, and we are focusing on a season start on 25th of September. We are pleased about the positive cooperation with the ministries and are looking forward to finding a joint solution," explains league president Jochen Pildner-Steinburg.

The transfer stop will remain in place until this date next week. On the following day, a video conference will decide on the further procedure.
