League currently records highest spectator average in six years

39 games have been played in the 2024/25 season of the win2day ICE Hockey League. A total of 24 matches have been decided by one or two goals difference, and a look at the table reveals an exciting season. So far, 111,443 spectators came to the arenas, keeping the league at its highest average in six years.

On Sunday, EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV was the last team to record its first win of the season (4:2 against Innsbruck). At the same time, league leader Moser Medical Graz99ers were beaten for the first time in a 3:2 overtime defeat against Vienna. A total of 14 games were decided by a one-goal difference and further ten by a two-goal difference. An exciting championship is emerging early on in the table. There are only three points between the sixth and tenth place as well as ninth and 13th place respectively.

So far, 111,443 spectators went to the stadiums - an average of 2,857 fans per match. That is 31 per cent more than at the same point last season and the highest average after 39 games in six years. With 4,480 spectators, the match between the spusu Vienna Capitals and HCB Südtirol Alperia was the most-attended game to date. A total of five matches broke the 4,000 mark. Vienna (4,240 fans) and Klagenfurt (4,028) have the highest average attendance, while three other teams - Fehérvár, Linz and Villach - have more than 3,000 fans per game.
