The win2day ICE Hockey League has been informed that during the fourth semi-final match between HCB Südtirol Alperia and EC Red Bull Salzburg - at the departure of a Red Bull player - discriminatory comments respectively noises from ice hockey fans were heard. The league organization of win2day ICE Hockey League is obliged to immediately submit information of this kind to an investigation and has already initiated such proceedings. The affected clubs, match officials, local league representatives and the ICE Situation Room have been asked to submit statements and reports of their perceptions during the course of the day, Wednesday, March 27. Once the information has been received, it will be forwarded to the ICE Legal Commission for assessment and, if necessary, a decision.

Irrespective of the incident under investigation, it is emphasized that the win2day ICE Hockey League categorically rejects any form of discrimination. The hockey family stands for diversity and respect in sport, and the win2day ICE Hockey League is committed to promoting and protecting these values in its activities.
