The first-placed HC Pustertal Wölfe will meet the second-placed HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana in the Master Round on Thursday. Pustertal is currently four points ahead of the Slovenes. In addition, in the Master Round HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice meet the Rittner Buam and S.G. Cortina Hafro faces Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. Val Gardena, on the other hand, urgently needs a win against the leader from Salzburg to still have chances of winning the group. With seven points they are currently in fourth place in the table. An away win from Gherdeina, however, would be a surprise. The Juniors have won the last four games, including the first duel against Val Gardena in the Qualification Round and the other two season meetings against the South Tyroleans. Val Gardena won two of the last five games.
