League leaders Kitzbühel wins top game | Overtime victory for Zell am See

In Thursday night’s Alps Hockey League matches, SIJ Acroni Jesenice and Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel secured wins in high-scoring games. The Slovenians dominated HC Meran/o Pircher with an impressive 9-0 shutout, while Kitzbühel celebrated a 6-2 road win over Rittner Buam SkyAlps. Additionally, EK Die Zeller Eisbären earned a 3-2 overtime win against the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, and HC Gherdeina valgardena.it triumphed 3-1 against Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan.

Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel continued their dominance in the league, celebrating their fourth consecutive victory with a 6-2 road win over Rittner Buam SkyAlps. Kitzbühel opened the scoring early, though Ritten managed to equalize twice over the first two periods. However, the final 11 minutes saw Kitzbühel score four unanswered goals. Laurin Müller from Kitzbühel and Kevin Fink from Ritten both scored their first AHL goals of the season.

Jesenice with shutout win
Coming off the IIHF Continental Cup, SIJ Acroni Jesenice celebrated a massive 9-0 shutout victory at home over HC Meran/o Pircher. Jesenice dominated the first period, setting the tone with four goals, and added another four in the second, leaving Meran with no chance. The final goal of the night came from Olli Valtola, his second of the game, scored two minutes before the end. In only his second game of the season, Glavic Bor recorded his first shutout, helping Jesenice rise to fifth place in the standings.

Overtime win for Zell am See
EK Die Zeller Eisbären won a tight road game, 3-2 in overtime, against the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, outshooting them 45 to 20. In a rough game with several penalties, Nicolo Remolate tied the game for the Cavaliers in the second period with his first goal of the season. After a scoreless third period, Robin Johansson secured the overtime win for Zell, leaving them trailing only behind Kitzbühel.

Gherdeina wins South Tyrolean derby
HC Gherdeina valgardena.it is new third in the standings, celebrating a 3-1 road victory in the South Tyrolean derby against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. Despite Wipptal having a 39-30 shot advantage, Gherdeina prevailed, with all scoring happening in the second period. Leo Messner led the way for Gherdeina with two goals, his first goals of the season.

Before the start of the game, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan announced the signing of Canadian Nick Campoli. The transfer became necessary due to the departure of Philippe Sanche. The Broncos are Campoli's first club in Europe. In the past two seasons, the center was under contract with the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL.
